Freedom Food burgers

Cheese stuffed Freedom Food burgers.

Serves: 4. Preparation time: 10 Minutes. Cooking time: 15 Minutes

Ingredients

1 x 475g pack of Sainsbury’s Freedom Food Endorsed Pork Mince
Olive oil
½ onion, finely chopped
60g of your favourite cheese (we recommend Freedom Food labelled Spoilt Cow cheddar), cut into 4 cubes
½ teaspoon of chilli powder
1 teaspoon of dried mixed herbs
Salt and pepper
1 lemon
1 medium egg
2 Sainsbury’s Harvest Grain Baps
4 Sainsbury’s Ciabatta Buns
1 little gem lettuce
½ teaspoon Sainsbury’s Horseradish Sauce
1 teaspoon Sainsbury’s Tomato Relish

Method
Peel, then finely chop the onion and cook in a pan with a little olive oil until soft. Add to a bowl with the pork mince, chilli powder, mixed herbs, zest of the lemon and egg. Whizz 2 baps in a blender to make breadcrumbs and add to the bowl. Season with salt and pepper, and combine.

Shape into 4 equal patties and create a small well in the centre of the burger. Place in a piece of the cheddar cheese and cover with the burger mixture until completely sealed.
Grill the ciabatta buns or toast them on the barbecue for a chargrilled taste. Once brown, add a little horseradish sauce, some gem lettuce and top with a goat’s cheese burger. Then add a dollop of tomato relish for extra flavour.
